KAIRIJOKI WILDERNESS CENTRE

for fishing and other nature experiences

FISHING

River Kairijoki is fairly small wilderness river that has many possibilities for enthusiastic fishermen. The river is perfect for fly fishing. These waters are good natural living places of trout, brown trout, white fish and white trout. There are several good fishing places within the walking distance of the wilderness center.

Your fishing equipment should be lightweight gear that is designed for fishing grayling and brown trout. Fishermen on the Kairijoki River mainly use imitator flies. If your equipment breaks, or if you run out of flies or lures, replacements can be purchased at the wilderness centre, Eräkeskus.

The doors of the Kairijoki Wilderness Centre  open onto a river full of possibilities. With its  open shores, it flows directly into the heart of  a fisherman. The long fishing area could be made for fly-fishing: from slow-flowing backwaters  to roaring rapids. Here you can  experience the Nordic outdoors  and a whole range of fish species.
